Collections Management and Conservation

Through my studies in Museum Management at Fleming College, as well as my work at the Uxbridge Historical Centre and the Peterborough Museum & Archives, I have developed strong skills in collections management and preventive conservation. My experience includes conducting inventories, cataloguing artifacts, preparing condition reports, organizing and rehousing collections, and maintaining accurate collections records. I have completed preventive conservation work on a variety of materials, including metals, wood, paper, and ceramics, following museum standards and best practices. In addition, I have assisted with exhibit and collections cleaning, helping to ensure the long-term preservation, care, and accessibility of cultural heritage collections.
